As many of you know, Dr. White will be leaving our practice on September 26th as he relocates to Florida. Although he has been with us for a little over a year, we are very grateful for the care and commitment he has provided during his time here.
To ensure your pets continue to receive attentive veterinary care during this transition, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Anne Maichel, a local Hood River Veterinarian, who will be helping us temporarily through the end of the year as we continue to search for a permanent replacement.
We remain committed to providing continuity of care and appreciate your understanding and support as we work diligently to secure the right long-term fit for our practice.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please get in touch with our office. Thank you for your continued trust in us- we look forward to serving you and your pets during this transition and beyond.
Our Relief Vet:
Dr. Anne Maichel, DVM
Dr. Maichel has lived in the Columbia Gorge area for 20 years. She is originally from Hawaii and was born on the island of Kauai and still considers herself a island girl at heart. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Hawaii, Manoa campus, attended the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, and then attended veterinary school at Kansas State University. Upon graduation she was awarded the Paul and Phyllis Curd scholarship award for excellence in small animal surgery and internal medicine. She resides in Hood River with her Husband Scott and their daughter Dakota. She has four dogs, a very sweet 16 year old Pitbull, a 9 year old Chihuahua, a 9 year old Shih Tzu, and a 3 year old French Bulldog. She loves animals especially ones of the flat face variety, but truly loves them all. She enjoys traveling, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and sewing in her spare time. Dr. Maichel has a very easy-going demeanor; you can find her loving on her patients, hugging their owners, and is truly interested in the health of her patients and clients. Her personality definitely can be attributed to her Hawaii roots.
